(Coming Real Soon) 25 November - 1 December at Cultural Centers in Jakarta
One of most awaited film festival of this year. And after so many issues about the exertion of this event, at last its held this year! Organized by ID Film Center. Exist in Indonesia for more than 6 years, this event having a committee regeneration. So, I guess it's understandable that this year, it's only held in Jakarta, while previous event held in some other city such as Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Banda Aceh, Surabaya, and Denpasar.
But what's good about this year event? It's pretty shocking actually because this year's movies are inevitably epic! Great movies during 2008 to 2012. The movies divided into three section; Xtra, Discovery, and Docu. I'll tell you one more time: the movies are epic. Here are some of the movies that will be screened on EOS (Europe on Screen) 2012.

- Rust and Bone. 2012. (Best Film in BFI London Film Festival 2012 and now in the competition for Cannes 2012)
- The Heineken Kidnapping. 2011. (Golden Film in Golden and Platin Film Netherlands 2011)
- Amour. 2012. (Palme d'Or in Cannes Film Festival 2011)
- Erratum. 2010. (Gold Plaqua in Chicago International Film Festival 2010)
and many others (since they have 50 movies to be screened for the whole week).

Me myself scheduling to watch at least 28 movies.
Last, this year there will be six venues for Europe on Screen; GoetheHaus, Erasmus Huis, IFI Salemba, IIC, Kineforum, and Blitz Megaplex Grand Indonesia.
This event are FREE!, except the screening at Blitz Megaplex that will be charged IDR 30.000 for each movie. You can get the tickets an hour before the movie started. And for Blitz, you can purchase the tickets online.

Those are the events that will be happening this week. More info for each event go follow their twitter @FestiFrance2012 @ruangrupa @europeonscreen or simply by clicking the banner on this blog. Don't forget mark your calender. And I'll see you at the venue, folks!!
